It seems as if the long winter may finally be behind us as we get closer to the beginning of the 2022 grazing season.  We are booking up fast and we have more folks helping us.  Ryan Mahlandt is going to take over the Wichita Area with his goat herd.  Ryan started helping us with the work load in 2021.  So, if you are in the Wichita Area, he will probably contact you for scheduling your site for work.  Donnie Lovell will once again be joining us in 2022 as he will be taking on the long-term jobs when Mary has to attend to her aging mother’s doctor appointments.  Lora Frick will be helping us in the Topeka/Lawrence Area, with her herd.  Rex Rutledge is new to goat rental as well and he will be filling in for us on jobs that are either too small or we are unable to schedule due to timing conflicts.

We are taking on Long-term jobs.  Long-term jobs are jobs 7 days and longer.  We will be setting up for a week in McPherson, Kansas in June and probably come back in late September for a clean-up.  We are hoping to have our longest job in the Kansas City area (details still in the works) for late July-early August.  The whole month of July is booked and August is looking pretty full even before our season starts! So if you want to book us, contact us early!

Jinx, Joy & Fly will once again be on the work crew, when Mary is on site.  Donnie’s dog, Rebel will accompany him when he is on site. We also have the addition of Whip, Fly’s younger brother, who will be learning the ropes this year.  We continue to ask that you do not pet the dogs unless permission is granted due to safety reasons.

We are excited as we start our seventh season grazing and sad to see that due to the fuel prices, we are forced to raise our daily rates $50-75/day.  Rural and long-term jobs that have not already been contracted will see this increase with rural areas increasing $50/day and city and urban areas will see the rates increase $75/day.

If  you would like Mary to do a presentation about raising goats or  speak about the benefits of using goats in a land management program for your organization or special event, please call her at 785-420-0472 to check on scheduling.  Job site evaluations or consultations on land management are $250/day plus transportation in the state of Kansas.  Consultations out of state are $350/day plus transportation.
